I have had my pc for a bit over a year now and it will freeze instantly and i have to hold down the power button. This usually happens when i am on a browser or am on my desktop. The one thing that stops it from freezing is when im playing games but a few mins after i close it or go idle it will freeze, it can be pretty random. I reinstalled windows and i did a memtest multiple times which showed no errors, i really need to find out what is freezing my computer.

Specs:
Cpu- i7 8700K
Gpu- MSI RTX 2070
Memory- Corsair 3200 mhz 8x2gb
Motherboard- Asus Prime 2390-a
Psu- 650w Gold certified
HDD- 1tb
SSD- 250gb

Which PSU is it exactly?

Is your system overclocked?

Run the RAM at 2666MHz

Is the motherboard BIOS up to date on version 1401 ?

Did you install the latest nvidia.com drivers?

run a memtest (the USB autoinstaller from memtest.org is my favorite)

check the HDD and the SSD with the manufacturer´s toolbox, eventually update the firmware if available
