PC discharge after shut down

Hey forum! just a quick question: whenever i turn off my PC, i discharge it from electricity. i mean turning off PSU n then pressing power on button (CPU fan spins a little n then done). is it a good thing or bad thing? had issue in past, burning motherboard while installing RAM cuz of undischarged electricity and now i have habit of discharging it.

Definitely not going to hurt anything, I don't personally think there's a need to drain the power unless you plan on installing hardware or doing maintenance.
