PC doesnt connect to internet?

Hi guys i have a new PC which was built,
and the mother board is an Asus H87-M Plus.

On the back of my PC it has a ethernet port where i have plugged in my cable, and the orange light comes on when the cables plugged in but it doesnt connect to the internet??

Do you think its possible my PC has not got a network adapter inside it?

Im sorry i dont want to sound dumb, i am a total beginner though.

Please help me

If it has a RJ45 LAN port, then does that mean it has internet connection capability, or is there another card or chip that may not be on the motherboard?? Because it has a RJ45 Lan port, so i am confused

rj45 is standard ethernet. have you installed the drivers from the disc included with the motherboard?

its wired to my router (which works perfectly as i connected the same cable to my laptop etc)
im guessing its the drivers i havent installed then right?

yes. it won't work at all until you install the drivers included with the motherboard

Yes, drivers.

the disk which came with my mother board i havent even used or installed anything off it, thats probably why then.
