Please help me, I can't put my PC into sleep mode manually. When i choose sleep mode the screen goes black and everything is still running and it'll start back up if I click the mouse or press keyboard key. It used to sleeps only when I set it to go to sleep automatically after a given time but now it not working anymore. Is there any easy way to fix this ?

Hey there,

Have you changed power profiles or messed around with them recently?

You can re-initiate the default profiles by doing the following:

Open up powershell (as administrator) Then type one of the following:

High Performance: powercfg -duplicatescheme 8c5e7fda-e8bf-4a96-9a85-a6e23a8c635c
Ultimate Performance: powercfg -duplicatescheme e9a42b02-d5df-448d-aa00-03f14749eb61
Power saver: powercfg -duplicatescheme a1841308-3541-4fab-bc81-f71556f20b4a
Balanced: powercfg -duplicatescheme 381b4222-f694-41f0-9685-ff5bb260df2e

Enter them all, and then reboot. Once done, select one of them and see if sleep works.

Are all your system drivers up to date? What bios are you running?

Q-flash is a recommended way to do it from your manufacturer. If you are unsure then leave it. ANd we can try and disganose further.

The idea with updating the bios is to rule out any bugs or issues, that have happened over time. It makes sense to rule it out as the issue.
i'll do that when i have time then .So what else can i do to fix this?
