pc don't start up with dxr3 card

When I insert my Creative DXR3 card, which came with the Creative DVD Encore
12x, my computer won't start up. It stops just before completing the POST,
so I'm not hearing the beep. I even tested it with no other periphs. but to
no avail.
When I use the card in another computer it works fine, so the card is not
defect. The DVD-player just works fine, it's only the DXR3-card who gives
troubles.
My computer has a ASUS P2B-F mainboard with a Pentium III 450 MHz processor
and 256 MB RAM.
Anyone got a clue?

Check your mobo frequency settings. If you are overclocking or someone did it for you.... your pci could be out of spec. It is supposed to be at 33 Mhz. I have the same card and I found out the hard way that it does not lie to be clocked. A really easy way to find out if your board is clocked is to try intels processor frequency id utility from their site.
