Hey all, lately my case fans seem to be blowing at full blast if I start up a game, and staying at full blast even if I close out of the game. They don't seem to quiet down even if I am only browsing the internet or watching youtube for a few hours. The only way to get them to stop seems to be to restart my pc, after which they start again as soon as I start another game up. Normally my pc stays pretty quiet even if I'm gaming for a few hours a time so not sure what could be wrong. Also should mention that they stay on even when my pc is very cool to the touch.

I downloaded Fancontrol to check things out but none of the fans I can control seem to be the issue. My pc is a prebuilt corsair with a rtx 3070 and an AMD ryzen 5 5600x as the cpu.

Anyone know what could be causing it? It doesn't seem to be hurting anything, but the noise is kind of annoying.

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

Include PSU: make, model, wattage, condition (original to build, new, refurbished, used)?

Disk drive(s): make, model, capacity, how full?

= = = =

Power down, unplug, open the case.

Clean out dust and debris.

Verify by sight and feel that all connectors, card, RAM, jumpers, and case connections are fully and firmly in place.

Use a bright flashlight to inspect everywhere for signs of damage.
