PC for Video Editing

Hi Guys, Im about to build a new computer for video editing and gaming (which is secondary).'my budget, excluding a monitor, is $1200 (Rs. 90,000 in india as the prices are higher here). i'm a hobbyist and will be mainly working on AE & Premier Pro, then some C4D and Blender etc..
Should i go with i7-6700K or stick to i7-4790K? what will be the best config so that i don't have to think of changing any parts for 3-4 years other than upgrading RAM, adding another GPU etc?
Please Help.

if you can afford the 6700k, you should go for it.
for ram you could get 16GB of ram.

Processor -> Intel i7 4790k (Rs 29, 000)

RAM -> Corsair Vengeance DDR3 16 GB (Rs 10, 000)

MOBO -> MSI Z97 Gaming 3 Motherboard (Rs 12, 500)

PSU -> Corsair CX750 750 Watts PSU (Rs 8, 100)

GPU -> Asus Nvidia GTX 970 4GB (Rs 30, 000)

HDD -> Seagate Barracuda 1 TB 7200RPM HDD (Rs 3,700)

Total : Rs 93, 300


I have chosen the i7-4790K because it is a perfectly capable Processor for everything you need(editing + gaming). The 6th gen processors are only slightly better in performance but they cost a lot more in India. So the i7 4790K is the best Value for Money processor available right now.

1 Hard Drive when video editing? You'll slow the app down so much, that the extra render speed from the CPU won't even matter anymore. Aim for a balanced build.

Yes. This is a great build and will definitely run all games for 3-4 years @1080p. The 4670K is great for rendering.

You can also add a SSD after a few months if you want even faster speed.
