I have an issue where every time I modeling or rendering in my decent computer, it just suddenly lags and start freezing. Even HDD LED not flashing at all. It also happens for the second for no reason. it's either due to my specs are not very high.

It was running Blender.

Computer: Dell Precision 3640 tower Workstation

  • CPU: i7 10th 10700
  • GPU: EVGA GTX 750 TI (Model: ‎02G-P4-3751-KR)
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • PSU: 300

in my decent computer
Low-end, not decent.

it just suddenly lags and start freezing.
Best guess, you have way too little RAM amount.

Blender requires a lot of RAM, since projects are all loaded into RAM. 32 GB should suffice, while 64 GB would be better.

As of when system slows down and freezes, one indication is that the RAM amount is filled and to create more free RAM space, PC has to stop whatever CPU is doing compute wise with Blender and start erasing old data from RAM, while in the same time, write new data into RAM. This is slow process and will slow down the PC, even up to the point of complete system freeze.

In actuality, 200W unit instead.

PSU specs: https://www.dell.com/support/manual...9dd33c-29fa-4da8-99f5-9bdf1e6a42ed&lang=en-us

Regardless what efficiency unit you have, both are dual +12V rail units and can deliver 16.5A per one +12V rail. Meaning 198W. A bit of rounding and your PSU, ever, can output max 200W.
