PC freezing while playing game

My Gaming PC will randomly freeze while playing Warhammer Total War, it doesn't seem to do it while playing any other game (I.E CIV 5, Skyrim).The game is running with no mods so I've ruled that out as a cause. My Specs are as follows:

500GB Samsung SSD
NVIDIA Gforce GTX 960
Intel I-5 4460 processor
Gigabyte Z97P-D3 motherboard
550 watt PSU
16GB DDR3 RAM

I've had a look at the internal temp and it seems to be fine as i've started taking the case off for better air flow to see if it freezes and it still does and I'm pretty sure it isn't a PSU issue as it freezes with the graphics card fans off as well. Sometimes it will only do it once every day or two but it's done it 3 times in the last 5 hours so I'm kinda getting irritated now.

Any help or advice would be very very welcome!

Check if their is any patch or update available for that game. Maybe it's the game that is causing the computer to freeze.

It's a Steam game so it updates automatically every time one is available, I could try an uninstall and re-install.
