PC gaming build

Just get 2 x 4gb 1866 ram. You don't need 16 for gaming.

Use the change to jump up to a 270x.


Get a better psu per http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1804779/power-supply-unit-tier-list.html The CX is Tier Three - not ideal for serious overclocking .

Try Seasonic 520, XFX 550 or Antec HCG 520M

Less costly Mobo just as effective.
You said it was a Gaming PC so no more than 8gb of ram is needed.
Better GPU in general.
And different PSU. Cosair CX series blow.

The 99fx is a better mobo with more power phases.

Yea but I tried to stay within the original price that he had. To do so I had to slightly downgrade on the Mobo, the ~$20 extra from the RAM downgrade wasnt enough to keep the "budget" while upgrading completely to a 280

Could you pick a build out that is in the $500-700 range I am planning on playing a few games

You've already got a $750 build. You want cheaper?

Use your build but Xtempered's mobo.

Not very good, You have a 990FX Board which, for that CPU Serves no purpose, and You have 16Gbs of ram which, unless you are a VM the extra 8Gb is useless. I Suggest getting a M5A97 R.0, Dropping the 16Gb of ram, And use the money you saved to buy a beefier GPU
