I'm just messing around on what parts are right for this build. Any suggestions on what I should get and what parts are good for me. This will be my first build http://pcpartpicker.com/user/Surfcrazy/saved/pGqBD3
Less costly Mobo just as effective.
You said it was a Gaming PC so no more than 8gb of ram is needed.
Better GPU in general.
And different PSU. Cosair CX series blow.
Yea but I tried to stay within the original price that he had. To do so I had to slightly downgrade on the Mobo, the ~$20 extra from the RAM downgrade wasnt enough to keep the "budget" while upgrading completely to a 280

i7Baby :
Just get 2 x 4gb 1866 ram. You don't need 16 for gaming.

Could you pick a build out that is in the $500-700 range I am planning on playing a few games
Not very good, You have a 990FX Board which, for that CPU Serves no purpose, and You have 16Gbs of ram which, unless you are a VM the extra 8Gb is useless. I Suggest getting a M5A97 R.0, Dropping the 16Gb of ram, And use the money you saved to buy a beefier GPU
