Hi There

Just wondered if someone could shed an opinion on my current setup that I've been working on to see if it is a decent build - Specs are below, only thing left for me to get is the graphics card

MSI Z170A Gaming M7 Socket LGA1151 Skylake Motherboard
16 GB RAM Corsair Vengeance 16GB 2400MHz
Intel Core i5 6400 2.7GHz Socket 1151 6MB L3 Cache
Corsair H110 CPU Liquid/Water Cooler
HDD 1TB
120GB SSD Internal Hard Drive

I will be buying the new Nvidia GTX 1080 with Pascal Architecture on the 27th

If someone could let me know what they think as it would be good to get an opinion or suggestions on alternative components to get to enhance the rig.

Cheers

A 750 watt PSU if it's a decent quality would be fine, you don't need a 1 killowatt power supply unless you are going to be running dual 1080 cards.

Hi There hang-the-9

Thanks for the input, yes I guess you're right - unfortunately I've already purchased the 120SSD but I'll still keep that in there as it would prove useful for extra space.

Do you think that if I purchased another SSD at 256GB would you say that the build I have is a good one?

Yes, it's fine, although you did not list the power supply, make sure you don't just get whatever is cheapest. For a gaming system, top 2 tiers are good, maybe a tier 3 unit if you can't find the others http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html

Thats cool, always find it handy getting another persons opinion - my power supply is 750W but not sure what make and model it is. Never the less I need a gaming PSU really so I will invest in one at the end of the month, I've found one that I've got my eye on - link below and then after I've managed to get that the SSD and the Graphics card then I should be all good to go.

Its getting there, slowly but surely.
