Pc Gaming with PS4 Controller

Hey all,

I have a quick question.

Lately I've been gaming on my pc rig using the playstation 4 controller. I'm able to use it through the DS4Tool which allows the pc to recognise the controller as a xbox controller with the xbox key layout.

Now my question is, how am I able to use the controller and get the key layout to be ps4 buttons?

I was just playing Dying light on Pc and it has always recognised the key layout as xbox buttons, then moments ago it suddenly picked up the key layout as ps4 buttons to my surprise.

I know have no idea how to get it back to be ps4 layout.

Does anyone perhaps have some insight into this?

i also use a ps4 controller on pc

i did not know that a game would recognise that it was a ps4 controller and not an xbox one

the only time i have been able to fix this is by making a texture mod for the game i wanted to play

so if the game glitched or something and showed the play station buttons, it should be easy to edit the textures in the game files. however ive never played this game so i don't know

Ok I figured it out and it must be the game dying light.

When I connect the controller without using DS4Tool the game recognises it as a XBox controller but with the PS4 key mapping.
