For a little over two years, my pc has been running absolutely fine. I upgraded to Windows 10 when it came out and have had no large problems with it. All of a sudden when I was playing various games, the screen would sort of glitch out for about 1 frame or 1 screen refresh (these glitched frames flashed by extremely fast, I thought It was my eyesight at first). Then, my PC did not make it past the windows loading screen when it was booted up the next day. It has not booted past the loading screen since. I have cleared the CMOS and too out the graphics card and put it back in with no luck.
One thing to note is that I originally had 2 of the same graphics card (MSI R9 270X) but after about 2 months of use, one of them would prevent the system from displaying anything at all. But if the faulty card was plugged in by itself, the system would go to a black screen after the windows loading screen, or it would make it to the desktop but after 5-10 seconds it would go to the black screen. It was terribly inconsistent so I cant really use any information from the problem, although the problem does sound very similar.
I do believe it is the graphics card that has to be replaced but I know that there is a chance it could be something else in the system, such as the ram, motherboard, or power supply.
I would really appreciate if anybody who sees this would tell me their opinion of what they think it is or if you have had similar problems that you have fixed, I am thankful if you would let me know.
Thanks in advance
EDIT: Replacing the GPU did fix the problem. Thats's 2 r9 270Xs in 2 years...now I have a r7 250.
