PC keeps crashing and closing apps after adding RAM stick

Hi,

After installing new RAM stick my Windows keeps closing some apps by itself (Chrome browser for example).

I also get blue screens of many different types but one of them was memory failure. The RAM sticks are not the same
but they have the same speed and voltage. BIOS sees them both and correctly shows speed and amount of memory.
I tried to "make" the PC crash by opening hundred of Chrome tabs but task manager shown that memory is working correctly

(using 12 out of 16gb so 2 8gb ram sticks must have worked). Unfortunately when I get into games I either get blue screen or

app crashes. I tested it in League of Legends and Vampyr. I have Asus Z370-p motherboard, i5 8400 and GTX 1060 6gb.

Is buying 2 exactly the same ram sticks necesarry to solve this issue?

The ram I had before is ADATA 8gb 2400 Mhz 1.2V DDR4 (all specifications I know about it) and the one I bought is HyperX Fury Black 8GB 2400MHz DDR4 CL15 1.2V DIMM

Thanks for the help in advance

(Both sticks work perfectly fine while working alone)

Two possibilities I can think of
Maybe one of the RAM modules is the wrong type for your system
or
Maybe your system has a maximum amount it can have and you've exceeded this.
For better results try to get two RAM modules that are identacle
Try using just one larger capacity module instead of two to see if it is a problem when using more than one.

The modules are correct for the motherboard as well the system can have up to 32gb of RAM (or more but I know it can have 32 for sure).

Could one of the modules be bad? Asking because of BSOD for memory failure
Maybe the problem isn't even the RAM, there is a possibility there could be another problem with something else.
You said apps close themselves and there are BSODs could your computer be infected which will cause unusual activity
Just a few possibilities to keep in mind.

RAM modules are good, they work correctly. I tested rest of the components. I am thinking that maybe there is some sort of voltage problem. No new software or harware were installed recently besides the RAM.

Also make sure your PSU produces enough power to run everything in your machine.
If not too much power may be used by the CPU and GPU with not enough left for other hardware to run at full potential

I have 550W power supply, i5 8400 and GTX 1060 are not the most power consuming. There should be more than enough power.
