First off thank you for your time and any help. Im a noob when it comes to pc building and im afraid i have learned that the hard way.
So problem is my PC will freeze up randomly during gaming mostly but it has done so during browsing as well. It completely Freezes up and im unable to use the mouse/keyboard or cntrl/alt/del nothing other than hitting the power button fixes the problem. I have tried re-applying thermal paste, reseatting all my hardware making sure everything was plugged in, put in an extra fan just in case, deleting old gpu drivers reinstalling new ones(340.52) and rollingback to previous driver(337.88). I have scanned and rescanned my comp for viruses using Ad-aware Pro. I use cpu-z, gpu-z, amd overdrive, coretemp, passmark all to monitor the computer, i also have aerotouch 2100 with 5 temp probes scattered throughout the interior of the computer. Never seen any crazy high temps during idle or load on any of the components: amd overdrive idle temp 52.6cthermal margin, coretemp idle temp is 19c. Under loads ie games/stress test: amd overdrive 25c thermal margin, coretemp 34c. If i am missing any needed info plz let me know.

ya i didnt mean to click it if i did. im hoping my problems are over but i figure until i can go a week freeze free then i prolly shouldnt get my hopes up. what do you think about the ending those programs and the youtube thing, think that could be my problem? my buddy said that software freezes usually dont cause a complete system freeze like that its usually a blue screen or a system lockup but you can still use your mouse

bummer it froze up, pulled a video card out. would like to mention that sometimes when i power up the PC the mouse does not power up, i have to unplug it and plug it back in sometimes more than once to get it to power up, dont know if that could mean anything or not just noting it.

last 7 days had several critical(12) and error(56) and warning(79). all the criticals were event ID 41 Kernel-Power, and the errors were all a mix with a majority being event ID 127 AppHost(8) and event ID 3 Kernel-event tracking, warnings were event ID 219 Kernel-PNP(28) and event ID 27 e1iexpress.

Well with one card out, I would figure the load was more than lightened for the power supply.

I do not see anything that points the finger at a certain problem. What one would give for a blue screen to trouble shoot from.

If you have access to a suitable power supply, It may be worth shot just on the off chance that that is the issue.

Those power supply testers test voltage only, they do not place a load or test for ripple and noise on the lines.

If you have another hard drive you can do an OS test that way.

I would recommend trying a live linux CD, but things are different. I am not even sure it would have drivers for your video card and would not allow game type load testing. Youtube would work, but may or may not use hardware acceleration.

When you tried one video card, did you try each one or just the one by it self?

just one by itself, but i have swapped the video cards already because one seems to do most of the work most of the time and has both monitors plugged into it, so i swapped them but when i went to one video card i just tested one of the cards.

i was playing a very gpu intensive game last night and i have the side of my computer off right now so i can actually feel the temps inside the case, when i put my hand near the gpu during gameplay it is letting off alot of heat. im wondering if my monitoring software could be wrong and i could be having a heat issue, but if that were the case the floor fan right next to the pc should have fixed that right?

Video cards with that much power generate lots of heat.

A video card getting into the 80s is not unheard of with some of the higher performance parts. The air coming from such a thing will quite hot.

I highly doubt watching a video would crash it if you had a heat issue. Cards do not even clock all the way up to watch videos.

so i talked to my techy buddy about my pc problems he thinks is the os like hunters said. i bought windows 8.1 pro when i got my computer in feb, back in feb i had 2 diff vid cards, a diff cpu, a diff power supply, 1 less ssd, and a diff motherboard. he said that when u change out that much hardware you absolutely need to reinstall windows and hes 99% sure thats what the problem is. so when i changed out all that hardware did it jack up my os, does that sound legit?
