Hi everyone, i built a pc about 3 months ago and everything been working smoothly until something happened today, for some reason i thought that updating my drivers would be a good idea, but i was damn wrong.. I have used an app called "TweakBit", it performed a windows restore point and then downloaded and installed the new drivers, after that it needed the PC to be restarted, it took a long time to restart than it usually takes, and went through about 2 to 3 restarts in between bios screen and windows boot screen, at that point i had a feeling that something was wrong, but the os started anyway, so i thought it would be a good idea to restore the old drivers, but suddenly one of the gigabyte's utility apps pop-up and asked me if i'd like to update my "firmware", i clicked update, restarted my pc , and then using the windows restore point option from the "TweakBit" app, i tried to restore the old drivers, just to avoid any hustles in the future. Restoring the old point/drivers went ok till it hit 100% and prompt for a restart, but then the PC freezed, no cursor, no keyboard, nothing, waited for a couple of minutes and got no response at all, so i restarted it manually, what i got myself into is that the PC is stuck in boot, all the fans start to work, and after about 3 seconds it restarts, again and again, here is what i tried to do:
- Unplugged everything but the CPU.
- Unplugged SSD &/or HDD.
-Removed VGA card.
-Removed RAM.
I kept going back and forth, removing this, adding that with no successes.
- Cleared CMOS, removing battery and/or adding a jumper, still the same too.

My PC Specs:
- Motherboard: Gigabyte H110M-S2PH rev.1.0.
- Processor: Intel Core i5-6500, LGA1151 with stock fan.
- RAM: Crucial Ballistix 8GB DDR4 - 2400 (1 only)
- VGA: AMD Sapphire Dual-X R7 265.
- Disks: Corsair Force LS 120GB Sata III + Western Digital 1TB Black.
- PSU: Seasonic 520W.
- Case: Corsair Spec - 01.

btw when i built this pc i didn't find a wiring/cable for the bios panel thing (don't remember what it's called), i thought that it's a new thing, were we won't have to listen to the retro bios beeps, but it was actually helpful for troubleshooting, like for one beep it means this, and for two it's that, so i'm not sure if that's the case in 2016 or it just happened to be like that with my setup.

I'm not sure what's wrong, i searched and tried many things, i believe that it's a bios related issue, but if it is, then why something like clearing cmos didn't fix it?.. I really hope that someone would help me figuring out this, thanks! :)

Solution
This model has GSM variant, kinda odd they willing to replace defect release with new one because I couldn't found other gigabyte with Gigabyte Stable Module. That's why I suggest the battery 1st, I'm retired PC shop owner, solved couple POST issue with battery replacement.
We need to get to BIOS and POST 1st, can't provide further assist without knowing what is killing it, if CMOS is failing you can look for identical battery from PC shops, its cheap, after that, power supply must be failing unless you've tested on other and working. If you manage to enter BIOS, try restore default values, save and exit.

Well, i just tried another PSU (XFX PRO 550W), and it's doing the same thing, infinite loop of restarts with no bios screen, so i guess now it's more of a motherboard issue?, right?, i'm not sure if tyring a different battery would help, and also not sure if i'd be able to find identical one yo avoid any further conflicts.. So, what do you guys think i should do next?, thanks.

Hi Mikel_4, I thought that returning the motherboard to the place of purchase would be a good idea, so that they could help me, but unfortunately while i was repacking it, i accidentally caused a physical damage to it 🙁, and now i had to buy a new motherboard, anyway, thank for your time :).
