PC noisy (fans)

Guys my desktop computer has been a little bit noisy lately ( system fans mostly )
Do you think cleaning it up ( from dust ) with a can of compressed air will help out ?

Systems are designed to increase fan speed(more noise) when temps go up. Cleaning out the dust can help.

Perhaps but the > the rpm, the > the noise. Efficient design helps a bit but the when rpm goes up, so does noise.

-More fans at lower rpm is better than less fans at high rpm.
-Larger fans are better than smaller fans.

is there any way to control fan RPM ? i have a Zalman Z5 plus case if that helps

There are fan controllers, and some boards let you control the fans from the BIOS at least, some with utilities in the OS as well.

MoBo bases fan control has really improved the last few generations. Check your MoBo manual for what MSI provides in this vein.

See page 1-25 of your manual (you have 1 CPU fan header and 4 system fan headers

The Control Center II utility can be installed to automatically control the
fan speeds according to the CPU’s and system’s temperature.

You can also control fan speed via the BIOS (page 2-27) but the Command Center utility will be much more flexible.
