Pc not displaying anything

So I had a cpu that was missing a pin and I tried to fix it by putting another pin in the socket and putting the cpu on top but it was shorting the system so I gave up. I put my old cpu back in and originally it booted up fine, but my headset wasn't detected so I restarted my pc and now it won't show anything on my monitor. All the fans spin and lights come on. I've tried resetting everything and plugging everything in again and nothing has worked so far.
Specs:
CPU: AMD Phenom II x955 BE
Mobo: Gigabyte 970-GA
GPU: AMD R9 390x
RAM: 16 GB
OS: Windows 7

Also, there might be a lack of thermal paste on the cpu, but I'm not sure that would be causing this problem.

Lack of thermal paste means instant temperature jumps and CPU stopping to protect itself.
