Hello everybody,

i'm stuck.
I had 32 GB RAM installed (16+16) and replaced it with 128 GB (32x4). Now after turning the computer on, all I see is a black screen, then after a long press on the shutdown button and turning it on again, I see a screen telling me that the problem is in the BIOS settings and I need to use stable or the computer was turned off by long pressing the power button, and suggesting that I press F1 to go to the BIOS settings. In BIOS, I go to the Boot section and only after selecting which disk to boot from - I get to Windows.

I removed/inserted the tablet, reset the BIOS settings to default and updated the BIOS to the latest. Also after enabling D.O.C.P. in windows the memory settings are different from those written in the profile and displayed in BIOS.

My SPEC's:

1. MB - ASUS PRIME Z790-P (LGA 1700, Intel Z790, 128 GB, PCIE 5.0)
2. CPU - Intel Core i7-13700KF (Raptor Lake)
3. RAM OLD - G.Skill Trident Z5 DDR5 6000 Mhz 2x16 GB (F5-6000J3636F16GX2-TZ5K)
4. RAM NEW - G.Skill TRIDENT Z5 Neo [F5-6000J3040G32GX2-TZ5N] 64 GB (32 x 2) x 2

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

When you flashed the BIOS to the latest version, did you clear the CMOS after? If not, clear the CMOS, then start with 2 sticks of ram in slots A2 and B2. If that goes without a hitch, then add the other 2 sticks of ra from the G.Skill kit.

The thing that I see as your misake on yoru end is;

you picked a ram kit that's compatible with AMD's AM5 platform. You should've looked into a ram kit that had Intel's X.M.P on it.

I would advise that return the ram kit and pick something that's in your memory QVL to get to 128GB. If not, then pick a ram kit that has Intel's X.M.P on it.
