[SOLVED] PC or Game problem? (Elden Ring)

Hi all,

I will try to summarize, I bought Elden Ring because I read the PC requirements and I should be able to play it in Maximum with no problem at all, but when I try it, the game keeps having a lot of FPS drop (usually from 60 to 40 FPS, but even 15 FPS sometimes). I read that that this game has a lot of performance problems in PC but still I think that my computer should be able to run it.
I play on 1440p resolution, but tried to lower it to 1080p and the problem still persist.

Could you guys give me a solution? I posted another thread a month ago about the performance of my PC, which I kinda solved (I am able to play Forza Horizon 5 in maximun quality), so I really don't know what is happening right now...

the ssd has like 30% capacity free, should I try to free it more? I could do it with no problem
The psu is a Nfortec Sagitta RGB 850W 80 Plus Gold Full Modular, I considered to change to 1000W but as I was able to run most games I didnt pay more attention to it.

Well, now the ssd is 75% capacity free haha, just deleated all the games that I don't play anymore, let's see if it improves the performance

I bought Elden Ring last night and had some unrelated issues. I went to the Steam discussion page and there are already hundreds of posts with issues. I saw many saying they couldn't get more than 10 FPS with hardware that exceeds the recommended specs. I couldn't even post a question on there because there were so many people posting. I don't think there's anything wrong with your PC.

Yes yes I saw it, probably just need to wait for a patch.
But still, sometimes I worry because this is my first PC completely assembled by myself, and when something doesn't work as it should workl I just panick

Question - System requirements for Elden Ring

Hello I would like to know if my pc can handle Elden Ring on low settings (1080p)? My specs are: - GTX 1060 (6GB GPU) - RAM 16 - Intel core i5 7400 -> the only requirement my pc doesn't meet is that I have the intel core i5 7400 instead of the i5 8400 .. Would this be a problem? Should I be...

Hey guys, thanks for all your answers, I was tryng to monitor all the specs during gaming and I saw something unusual. It is from the GPU: the memory clock seems to work fine (2000 Mhz more or less), but the core clock doesn't go above 1000 Mhz, and it is supposed to work at 2494 Mhz. I guess it can't be working always at that speed of course, but not even 1500 Mhz while playing? The temperature usually is not higher than 55ºC, so maybe this could be causing some issues in performance?

Okey guys, after a lot of checkings, I tried to force my GPU's core clock to run on minimum 2000 Mhz (with the AMD Radeon Software), and it seems to improve the performance by a lot. Still minor sluttering but this seems to be more related to everyone not just my PC. For some reason, the AMD software had like 500 Mhz minimum and it never goes above it unless you force it. If someone is reading this looking for a solution, just remember to make profiles for each game, like I did for Elden Ring, not in global, there is no need to force the GPU with games that require less power.
