PC power wont turn on but gpu and motherboard light is on

Please help. My cpu was working perfectly until today suddenly when i try to turn on it wont. But light in my gpu(gtx 960) is on and a green led light in motherboard is on.I have i5 4440, Case is CM haf,gpu is gtx 960. I removed my ram and hdd and attached again but no change.. The Fans wotn power up and no switches work. I tried removin cmos too. My motherboard is asus z87k. Can someone reply fast pls...

I tried the green and black wire method i saw in youtube. Psu fan was running fine. And it also gives power to gpu.

That is not a guarantee that it works GOOD, there's heck of more to PSU.

Hey i have ordered a psu and mobo tester on ebay. I think that will detect the problem right?? It will take around 6 days to reach me it seems.. Or should i try something else? And today after breadboarding everything my pc started and i gamed for around 6 hours without any prob. Should i keep it this way or change anything?

If it works outside of case, that would point to a short somewhere. Maybe even over tightened or bent MB.

Idk how but it is working for now. But i think i should check with the testers once i got them.

Well again the problem started today. Bread boarding didnt work . Guess i have to test my psu and mobo and change something. But i think the PSU should be the problem..

Hey today i did a method i saw in youtube. I connected a hair pin in the psu between green and black. And i inserted in mobo. By just switching on the switch the pc started all fans were on. But no output in monitor. This means that the mobo is fine right? There should be a problem in the psu right?
