Hey.

I do have a problem here. I got a EPoX motherboard, AMD processor, 512MB DDR memory and Crucial ATI graphic card.

I experience the same problems in win2k and winXP.
When I am running some apps or games, the computer suddenly turns itself off. Just suddenly, without any notice. It is just life the power went off.

A usual problem? Would someone care to give my computer a diagnose?

Thanks!

More details would be nice, but it sounds like a power supply issue. What size and make is it?

Spec:
Intel P4 2.4B
MSI 645E Max-U Mobo
1GB DDR333
R9600XT 128MB
SB Live 5.1
WD 60GB
Maxtor 120GB
LG DVD+-R/RW
WIN2K PRO SP4

It sounds like the power supply overload protection is getting "tripped". Probably a less quality power supply would just keep chugging allong until it blew out, but this one protects itself. That's my guess, feel free to prove me wrong, my 8 ball didn't have anything to say.

So Crashman, do you say that I would need a more powerful powersource?

Thanks!
