Hello, I have a very weird problem.

So basically the pc randomly crashes when launching games. For example - CS2, Hell let loose. It will launch it, and then after 10 seconds it force restarts the PC. Some days everything is fine and nothing crashes, but some days the crashes are unescapable. I can play these games for hours, and no issues. Then one day I get on and can barely get to the main menu.

Event viewer error 41 Kernel-Power.

Things I've tried:

-Uninstalling anti-virus

-Updating and down-grading GPU drivers

-Using chkdsk, sfc /scannow, DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth to no avail.

-Checking for Windows updates

-No problem with overheating

-No crashes when stress testing GPU and CPU on FurMark

-Latest BIOS update

PC:

AMD Ryzen 5600

GTX 1080

16gb ram

Asrock A320M-HDV

Event viewer logs

DxDiag

Thanks!

brand and model of the psu?
Xilence 600W XP600R7
But what are the chances that it could be the culprit? If sometimes I can play the games perfectly fine, it has never crashed on me mid-game. If it crashes, it only crashes specifically on launch, the first 10-30 seconds.

That is the likely culprit. Not a quality PSU.

By the way, what storage devices are you using and how full are they?

Thanks for the answer. It only started happening like a month ago, every thing was fine until then.
I have 1TB M.2 storage with 108gb free where I have installed OS and the mentioned games, and HDD 1TB with 700gb free.

The PSU is likely failing when placed under the heaviest load when the games are first starting up, enabling all the eye candy. You might turn some of the graphics settings down, but you really need to replace that PSU shaped object.

Your SSD is getting low on available storage. You might want to consider moving some apps to the HDD.

Thanks, do you have any recommendations for good PSU brands? Also, is there any way to check the health of the PSU?

The explanation for this might be that the current draw is maximum at that time.
