Question PC randomly freezes and shows "select proper boot device" ?

My pc suddenly freezes at random times when i'm gaming. I tried different games and it still froze after a while. It then shuts down then shows "select proper boot device..." but when i reboot it on my own it turns on normally.

That could be an indication that your SSD/HDD drive is faulty.

My suggestion:

I would back-up all of the important personal data from that drive.
Then, I'd buy a new SSD (they are pretty cheap these days), then I would install the OS on the new drive.

Makes me think of the overheating nvme drives.
