PC randomly lost power, now won't turn on. PSU or MB?

So last night I was playing a game when all of a sudden my PC shut off. After that I am no longer able to turn on my PC, no fans or lights or anything. What I notice though is when I press the power button (and this only happens if I completely turn off all power from the switch in the back) the fan and cpu lights blink for a split second or less, with the psu fan slightly twitching as if it was trying to turn on but just couldn't. I even tried using 1 ram stick, unplugged all my USBs and even hdds, and still it just does that blink.

What I was able to do though is use my PSU tester I bought a while back and when I plug in the 24 pin plug and CPU plug, the PSU actually turns on and the readings look normal. Does this still look like a PSU problem though? Other sites mention it could be the MB but those don't usually fail that much, plus I was already using the PC when it just instantly lost power (no surge or anything).

I am going to buy a new PSU later and see if it works since it usually is a PSU problem, but I just wanted to ask this question to see what you guys think.

Update: I replaced my PSU and now the PC has power when I turn it on, but now a new problem arose. The red CPU LED light comes on the and the PC won't even POST. All it does is turn on all the fans and lights and the screen stays black. I have already tried reseating everything including the CPU and even when I turn the PC on with no RAM sticks at all I still get no beeps and just the CPU led. Is this a bad MB or CPU? I don't know what could have happened, all I did was replace the PSU.

Sadly I didnt have a spare cpu or motherboard board to test, so I ended up buying a whole new pc and built it. I used my new power supply I bought to test my old pc and I'm using my old GPU (cant really afford an upgrade of that just yet). So far everything is working fine, so my problem I feel like was a motherboard issue (I've had cpu issues before but they didnt behave like this, though I cant really rule it out).
