Question PC randomly no longer powers on

Shut my PC down last night like I usually do and went to sleep. The mouse usually stays on when the PC is off and I haven’t been able to figure out why, so this morning when I saw the mouse was still on I didn’t think anything. Went to power it on and the power button did absolutely nothing. Its connected to a fancy surge protector and there is no light on the surge protector indicating there was a power surge overnight. I tried in different outlets, nothing. Finally jumped the board with a screwdriver, heard a click from the power supply but absolutely nothing else. Feels like I’m using a defibrillator on a mannequin…no life signs.

Any other troubleshooting tips you guys recommend I try before ordering a new PSU? The board is about 8 years old at this point and the PSU is about 7. I want to exhaust my options before purchasing a new PSU and motherboard.

Might be more helpful to mention what this system is if a prebuild, or list specs if custom. Hard to recommend chasing a mystery problem on an 8yo PC.
I thought about it and its not worth it. I already did the warranty claim with EVGA since the PSU has a ten year warranty. I’m thanking my past self for not cheaping out. The specs are in my signature.
