PC randomly shuts down then restarts

About 1 month ago I built my machine. The only problem I had was with a windows update.
Maybe a week ago my computer begins to power down (not regular "shutting down" visual but basically it looks like power has been cut) and restarts.

When I look in event viewer it appears as Kernel-Power 41 (63)
I also recently did a system restart which didn't help solve it

I have opened up my PC and made sure everything was plugged in properly and I still get the error.

On the day I noticed this 2 things had happened prior.
1) My monitor was moved by a house-mate
2) I installed System Mechanic which I got from Humble Bundle and configured it. It has been removed now.

Any ideas?

Power - PSU could be failing (yes brand new duds do happen rarely), a bad electrical strip, or dirty wall power
Cables - could be a problem with the cable itself that connects the PC to the outlet, try changing it, also check to see if your monitor cable is good as well

Wow! Quite a fast response!

I just tried to change the socket and power cables and they haven't provided any successful results.

I hope it isnt the PSU because I really need to use this PC for work.

It didn't fix my problem but it may fix other peoples.

My psu gave up today
