Hi i have a pc at work and for some reason it is really slow. I have installed Adware and have ran that a few times. a few spyware was found deleted but still the pc is slow.

I think it may be the network card so i disabled it from the device manager (is that the same as takin it out from the back) and still no differece.

Does anyone have any idea why the PC is really slow. It is a 1 ghz with 256 ram running win XP. I have checked the task bar to see if anything is runnin in the backround and nothin out of the usual is ruuning.

In addition to juice's questions, do you have a virus scan running? Anything like Norton/Mcafee utilities running? When was the last time you ran defrag?
