My PC reboots randomly while i'm using it and i don't know the cause. i know its not a heat related issue because i monitored temps via Msi afterburner i have tried reinstalling windows, rebooting the cmos and checking for viruses with avast and malwarebytes. Also when it switches off at random times the power button stops working and it boots up again at random times . here are a few screen shots of the errors in event viewer:

well the problem has been with me before but i got rid of it for a month by doing a system restore and flashing the bios but it doesn't work now

well i dont really have any friends i could borrow ram or a psu from should i just rma my psu
:??:

Have you got any overclocks on any components?

If I were you, I'd try and disable your intel CPU's boost feature in the BIOS. It might be that the CPU just cant handle the clock speeds anymore.

I used to use an old Sandy Bridge 2500k OC'd to 4.6ghz, but after 3 years it would just shut off randomly untill I turned it down to 4.4ghz.

A quick google search seems to suggest this is a common cause of kernal power shut downs.

I would personally go to the store I bought my parts from (Cus I personally got all my stuff from one superstore) and ask them to help me out. They would have a couple of parts I could swap out to test which is the culprit. This might not be the case in your instance though. I also have very similar specs to yours and have never had a problem.

well i guess i used to have an overclock but not anymore so idk

also i picked best solution by accident but i will leave it there

btw i have a spare cpu on the same socket should i use that instead

i got them all online 😛

Lucky you. For me in NZ it worked out that almost all the parts were cheapest at one place on PC PartPicker, and I might as well avoid delivery and postage costs + risks + delay so I just went into the store. One of the guys there pretty much changed my whole list and helped me avoid a world of troubles, but It also ended up being super expensive compared to other countries (just like everything here). I wish you best of luck, and hope that your fix works for you.

thx

Well i was getting ready to rma it by removing it out of the system than i accidentaly put a screw in one of the mesh holes and i heard some electric spark sounds so i switched it on and the problem has went away What hapen

are u sure because all problems are gone now

I agree, never a good thing when a psu reacts with something that sounds like sparks. Can't imagine why you would try it after hearing those.
You could still try the rma and tell them the story, see what it gives.

Well one thing i forgot to note about 6 weeks ago there was a power cut in the area i live witch caused this wierd behavior. Al so vic 40 i switched it on to see if it worked because i doubt a manufacturer will let me rma it if it was fried. also how do i rma it.
