System build-

CPU: i5-4440
RAM: DDR3 1600 8GB CL 11-11-11-28
GPU: GTX 1660 (updated recently)
Motherboard: Gigabyte H-81-M-WW
PSU: Altec 550w

I recently updated my gpu to a zotac gtx 1660 and downloaded cs:go and started playing it monitoring the cpu and gpu parameters with msi afterburner.

While playing i noticed the frames hitting 200 fps and when the cpu temp reached 65°C the pc shutdown and restarted on its own and it continues if the power is not cut off.

If there is any solution to this problem I am all ears!

Do you mean an Antec PSU?
What exact model PSU is it?

Have you monitored GPU temps also?
Did you clear all previous drivers before installing the new GPU? (You can use DDU and this guide: https://forums.tomshardware.com/faq...n-install-of-your-video-card-drivers.2402269/ )

Does the screen just cut to black?
Have you verified that Blue Screens are enabled just to ensure that it isn't a stop error you are encountering: https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/5560-configure-windows-10-create-minidump-bsod.html

It is Antec PSU 550W -Model VP550P V2

GPU temperatures were within range and yes DDU was used to remove old drivers and to install new ones.

I don't know if the blue screens are enabled but the system just completely restarts on its own from working normally!

Poor quality PSU unfortunately, how long have you had it? I would suspect this could well be the issue, what was your previous GPU?

The link I posted shows you how to check :)
1: Open Control Panel
2:
Click/tap on System and Security
3:
Click/tap on System
4:
Click/tap on Advanced System Settings, the System Properties window will open.
5: In the Start-up and Recovery section click/tap on Settings...
6.
In the System failure section see if automatically restart is checked.

If this is already done, then you know Ble SCreens are enabled.

I had taken the pc to a pc repair shop and checked if it was the psu but they said that it was not so! I have had the psu for 5 years now.

My old gpu was an nvidia gtx 960 (2GB)
It stopped working a month ago

The box of "Automatically restart" is not checked under system failure. Should it be checked?
