PC shows up on my tv but not my monitor. PLEASE HELP!!

When I hook my pc up to my tv it shows picture but when I hook it up to my monitor it doesn't show any picture. I think it has something to do with resolution, at least thats what my friend said.

Hello... press the buttons on the Monitor for the setup screen... set it to the cable type you are using.

Hello... can you Test the cable and Monitor on another System/Computer output?

It works with an xbox but when I plug the pc into it, it shows the windows 10 logo, then it goes black.

Hello... Ok thx for the info... B / it seems to me that windows is boot good... but I have feelin the Display output might me switching to s different Video output when the screen goes Black... can you plug into the MB? and other outputs on your Video card and "LOOK" to see if this has happen?... B /

I tried but still the same issue. I think the resolution is the problem.
