hello.

my pc started shutting down while playing games, first happened when i was playing civilization vi for one or two hours, second time was the persistent one while playing NFS heat. i cannot play for more than 50 minutes without pc shutting down, no BSOD or any indication it will just shutdown.

things i noticed:
1- pc wont turn back on until unplugged for atleast 10m.
2- i downloaded TurnedOnTimesView: it showed unexpected Shutdown code 0x00000000 which is not helpful.
3- temps are not too high as far i know. cpu max 71c and average 67c, GPU max 82c.

i am not sure if it is an overheat problem or a bad PSU or what else it might be i have never encountered such problems before even though ive built countless PCs.

pc specs:
OS windows 10
cpu 8700k with evga 280clc
gpu 1080 ti
ram 2x8gb 2800mhz
motherboard asus Z370-F
samsung evo 860 500GB

method 3 - ( not for ssd's )
1.listen for some odd noise from your hard disk drive by going near it
2. if yes, replace the hard disk

method 4 - buy a new PSU ( maybe your gpu isn't getting enough power )

method 5 - check weather your graphics card is working ( if it is dead , buy a new one )
