hi I have an hp omen 17t-cm200, paired with 512 factory samsung m2 drive and an Crucial P3 Plus 4tb secondary drive that I have installed.
while using the secondary drive, whether it is playing games or reading/writing large amounts of data, pc just shuts itself without any sign.(does this %99 of the time while in performance mode, if I use the laptop with the
balanced mode it doesn't)
Temps are fine on both ssd's and there is no bad sector in the D drive either.
when I disable the D drive on the device manager, pc works just fine.
I have been looking at forum to forum to find something similar or the fix for it but no luck
so here I am, can someone please help me with this situation?

sound like power issue. using it plug in or just on battery?
I agree. A lot of these pre-built PCs and laptops have custom power supplies or custom power delivery on the motherboards that offer enough power for the pre-configured and shipped spec. This is where they are able to save a bit of money. This may be why when you disable the D disk or run in balanced power mode the power limits are not exceeded.
