(edit: updated power supply info)
(edit2: updated motherboard info)
The computer appeared to still be on (powerbutton and RGB effects lit), but not outputting anything (keyboard mouse monitors off) and even when I tried to force restart with the power button, nothing happened. The CPU light on my motherboard was red and I had to use the power supply on/off switch on my surge protector to turn off my pc. Looking to prevent this from happening in the future/resolve the issue as a whole. If it helps, I was running the game Valorant, the web browser google chrome, and application spotify during the shutdown.

Manufacturer and model?

I've been having similar issues with the R5 3600 and the MSI B450 Tomahawk (shutdown with CPU debug light on). In some cases it would happen every once in a while (a week maybe), but it started happening quite often with a specific game (Rustler). My solution was to limit the frames to 60 and turn VSYNC on. It hasn't happened again in several attempts, but I still need more testing time to confirm it was a permanent solution.
