okay, so I’ve had this problem before, which was fixed for a month with a new psu, but it just started happening again, my pc shuts off like exactly 2 minutes into any game I’ve played, I’ve tried a different gpu and tried new windows and fresh drivers with new gpu, re installed windows, ran system memory diagnostic tool, no issue with my ram, tried different hard drives, each time did a fresh install of windows, different gpu drivers
Nothings overheating, gpu doesn’t go past 70c and cpu doesn’t go over 60c under load, not really sure what’s the problem, I don’t have extra ram to try and test it, or a different mobo or cpu also my psu isn’t overheating and my fans are all spinning
Pc specs
Msi mobo i don’t remember which kind
I5-7500
Gtx 980 reference card
8gbs of team group ddr4 ram
1tb hardrive
Sandisk ssd 240gb
700W bronze 80+ EVGA psu

Solution
EVGA Nova series PSUs are quite good but their budget components are much less reliable. The odd thing here is the precise timing before it crashes. I know you said your memory is ok but have you monitored usage during game play? It is possible you have a memory leak

Welcome to the forums my friend!

What exact EVGA PSU is it and you say it is a month old?
Problem is EVGA make a ton of trash PSUs and their generic ones are usually pretty poor quality.

Are you using a UPS at all?
Does it only ever restart in games?
