Hello everyone,

I was working on my PC today as usual but out of nowhere it turned off.
I was thinking it might ran hot, but after some waiting nothing happened when pressing the power button.

The PWR_LED on the mobo keeps flashing 3 times and 2 times.

I removed my RAM, GPU, and some cables but when I flip the power switch on the PSU
the same thing happens. Power led keeps flashing for 2 times over and over, and I cannot turn on my PC.
Also I removed the cmos battery for 5 mins

Cant find anything about the flashing power led in the online manual. Original is gone.
Can I test more to find out if its the mobo / cpu / psu?

I have not changed anything recently.

specs:
CPU: I7 7700k
MOBO: Asus rog strix z270e
RAM : 2x8gb corsair vengeance
GPU: MSI GTX 1080 gaming z
PSU: Be Quiet! Dark Power Pro 11 750W
HD: Seagate firecuda 520 m.2 1tb

Yeah I have looked on several of the pages, but they dont describe 2 flashes a second weird enough.
Ill try to reseat the mobo, is that doesnt work ill gamble and order a second hand z270.

hopefully its not the PSU (80+ platinum)

Cleaned everything and reseated the mobo, still the same thing.
PWR_LED blinks for 2 times a sec, sometimes 1 blink.

No idea if its mobo, cpu or psu though,
cant test anything without cpu right

Another question. When you try to boot does the fan in your PSU keep spinning or does it start to spin but then immediately stops?

Hello Rock,

The 4 QLED's dont light up. Also nothing happens when pressing the power button.
The RGB on the board also dont light up anymore.
As soon as I turn on the PSU power switch, the PWR_LED on the motherboard starts blinking.
No fans spin, nothing.

Manual says this led blinks when the PC is in sleeping mode.... hehe

The PSU cables look very rough with protection around them,
but I have some extra in the box, I can try.

Perhaps you should try the "Paperclip Test" to make sure your power supply is working properly.

Just done a cliptest on the PSU and the fan starts spinning just normal.
The cabletree looks good so its probably the motherboard.

Ill post here again when I installed another motherboard.
