PC to HDTV

Okay, I have an XFX radeon hd 6770 video card, with the hdmi output, so i plug in an hdmi cord from there into my insignia 32" 1080p lcd tv. sounds easy.. and it works, I'm in 1920 x 1080 resolution. and my problem comes with text, and video playback, and basically just screen settings.. everything seems off colored, i cant read red text very easily on Everquest, just cant read it at all there. I have catalyst control center and would like to know what i need to do to make this clear, correctly colored, please guys I've looked all over the place and people said to change the name of my input to pc (...how?) so.. anyways. feedback please

I think I finally got it. I like the color it's outputting and that 1080p video looks perfect! Thanks guys

No problem, I remember going through all that hassle the first time I tried to use my TV as a monitor. It can be frustrating, but usually looks pretty good when you get the settings right.
