[SOLVED] PC Turns on and turns off immediately. Repeats constantly!

I know this has been posted before But I’m stuck too.

I have had this PC that I built for about 6 years now. The power went out yesterday and now my PC is turning on for not even half a second and immediately shutting off then repeats every 5 seconds. I swear I have tried every troubleshooting there is on the forums. I also bought a new PSU and it didn’t fix it and I currently have a new motherboard coming Wednesday. I’ve checked and the pins behind the CPU look bent and broken on some of them they’re really tiny. Any other suggestions?

You just described the issue in the second last sentence. There is a way to recover bent pins but if you already have new motherboard on the way then go for that, dont try to boot anymore with the CPU before new motherboard comes in.

most likely replacing the CMOS battery could have helped, but while your CPU socket pins are bent/broken, only use the new motherboard when it comes in.
Which power supplies did you try?
