Solution
Well, it’s not the best (as it’s only 6th gen skylake vs 8th gen coffeelake of today), and you want to keep the ddr3 when ddr4 is the new one of today, but it should work...oh, and I hope you don’t mind going to 250.

Solution

Thanks I'll have a look!

There are several reports that you shouldn't use DDR3 with Skylake, only DDR3L (low voltage) as the higher voltage of DDR3 supposedly damages the cpu memory controller. I know it was debated and I'm not an expert in this area but from what I read it was found to be a genuine problem.

Best I can come up with...

Thanks Much Appreciated!

Also What would u say about this? https://www.newegg.com/global/uk/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117822&cm_re=i3_8100-_-19-117-822-_-Product For an extra 6£

I'd say get an Asus Prime B350M-E motherboard:
https://www.newegg.com/global/uk/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813119020&cm_re=ASUS_b350-_-13-119-020-_-Product

For the RAM: https://www.newegg.com/global/uk/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820232609

And then for the CPU, get a Ryzen 5 1400: https://www.newegg.com/global/uk/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113437&cm_re=Ryzen_5-_-19-113-437-_-Product

The CPU is unlocked so you can overclock it with a basic B350 motherboard. If that CPU is too expensive, go for the Ryzen 3 1200 which is on par with the i3 7100 but when overclocked, can be as powerful as an i5 7500. Especially with a 1050Ti, these will work really well together.

Intels are fairly better at stock but to overclock them, you need at least a Z type motherboard which are about $100-$150. The AMD series are worse at stock but if you can simply overclock them to 3.9Ghz or so then they can perform extremely better, and you can do this with just a B350 motherboard.
