I upgraded to Win 8 Pro as it was only £25. To be honest it is not that much different to 7, but there are a few improvements and a few things I do not like.

The biggest surprise for me (not using IE in years) is how good IE seems now. It is clean, functional and seems speedy.

I do not miss the loss of the start button.

It is not a Vista.

The problem with a touch screen on a laptop is the fact that it's painfully awkward to use a touch screen on a laptop.

Also, the fact that Windows 8 Metro is an unholy abomination might be possibly causing some potential PC buyers to hold off.
