Question Pc very slow after factory reset

Specs: AMD fx 8350 4ghz
Msi 970 gaming
ddr3 16gb 1600mhz

figured I would do some over clocking to my cpu and ram to increase performance, oc fails and I reset my cmos. After this every time I play a game I get a system service exception bsod, so I clear my hard drive and reinstall windows. Pc works fine for a couple minutes but devolves into a laggy mess and occasional freezes. Basically unusable but I haven’t gotten the system service exception bsod. If anyone knows how I can find the issue that would be greatly appreciated

have you gone to motherboard website and downloaded any drivers for hardware? that might fix things.

what version of windows? are you on latest updates?

I am on windows 10 and fully updated. Do you mean drivers for my bios? and how would I install that?
