This is not a new build, I will give you some incite to this.
Build is an Asus M5a99FX Revision 2
AMD FX 8320 OC to 3.8Ghz
Unknown Liquid Cooler model. It is of the Cooler Master variety (a friend of mine gave it to me over a year ago)
Case is a Corsair Obsidian 450D
4 Fans in the case 1 back, 2 top rad, 1 front
6 HDDs 3 5400 3 7200
Antec 450VP PSU (just died)
Corsair CX550M( just installed.)

This machine runs headless, it is used as my internal Plex server, tons of storage, not many users just the 3 of us here. Long story short, it has been really hot lately, so I have been closely monitoring machine temps, nothing too high but just as a precaution I have also been leaving the air cranked in that room to keep all of my equipment running at optimal temps.

The other day I came home to my Plex server offline. green light on mobo, press power button cpu light flashes once during boot as it should, vga light stays on since it has no GPU (headless remember), 10-15 seconds after.. CPU light flashes twice then shuts down. My only guess is the impeller on the cooler died. I do not want to tear this all apart but will if needed. Any suggestions?

temps never exceeded 63c under load, would rest with no load or activity closer to 14c due to the AC being on in the room at max cooling 24/7

CPU header does work, I am thinking the impeller in the liquid cooler died. If that is the case, off to the store I go.

I am hoping that is not the case, but we can always hope. Does not mean it will be right :D

*Update* So here is what I have come up with.

Tried all RAM configurations with each RAM chip.
Reset CMOS
remove liquid cooler, regreased after thorough cleaning.
I was able to get into the BIOS to see the monitor and bam, shuts off. its the liquid cooler that is the possible culprit. AFAIK the Impeller is shot, time for an upgrade to my gamer so I can move that cooler to the server.
