Question PC won’t start even though it has power.

Hello everyone. I left my pc on before going to bed yesterday. Today I woke up and it was as usual on sleep mode with the power button flashing. However even though I tried, I just couldn’t turn it on. I disconnected everything, let it sit for 30 mins, then checked everything inside. Aside from some usual dirt I didn’t find anything wrong going on. I plugged it in again, turned on the psu switch and even though I see lights from the Ethernet cable, the motherboard and gpu, the pc just won’t start. My hope is that it’s a faulty psu since I got it for about 10 years or something, but how can I be sure? Unfortunately I don’t have another one to try…

you could try removing the gpu and cpu cooler and look for any failed capacitors on the motherboard. get a 2nd hand PSU, I got a 6month old corsair 850W for half price.

I used my psu on a friends computer and even though the pc was running, his cpu led on his motherboard was on.

Then I used his psu on my computer but nothing happened… I have lights and stuff but it won’t start at all

I'm going to guess that the motherboard is dead, but what lights come on?
