Okay, so I've researched the heck out of this and haven't been able to find a solution yet so far. So please any help would be greatly appreciated. I just want to know if this card is doa or not.

My pc specs:
Amd Fx 8120 cpu
Corsair ddr3 8gb ram
Biostar A880gz motherboard
Raidmax 530 watt psu
Link:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817152028

My new videocard:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161406

Okay so this is what I've done so far.
First I installed ati drivers that came with the videocard. Then I powered off pc and installed the card snugly into pci express slot. Plugged in the labeled "pci-e" power cable into the one 6 pin connecter on the video card. Powered on pc with monitor plugged into new video card. Nothing shows up on monitor. Pc doesn't post, there's no beep at all. Nothing shows up, no option to go into bios or anything.
So then I researched and found that u need to un install current video drivers which would be the drivers for integrated graphics on mobo, so I did that, (using the on board graphica) and I un installed everything that was there under programs and hardware manager. Tried the card again, still nothing doesn't post. Then I read that drivers could have been corrupted so reinstalled windows, tried card, nothing. Last thing I tried was resetting cmos jumper. Not sure if I did this correctly, I took off jumper and moved into clear position. Also turned computer on while in this position. Powered off and back on in normal position tried card still nothing. And also its worth noting that the card seems to turn on fan spins and everything, along with everything else, fans etc.

So is thing doa or is there something else I can try? Oh also went into bios and and disabled on board graphics, but I'm not exactly sure how to set it to the new card on default. Can't find any settings like that...

Thanks all!

Doesn't seem like your motherboard has the auto detect feature, my old mobo with integrated graphics didnt have that feature, so I had to manually change it in the bios. Try enabling the pci that was already enabled and use the third option with the pci> first
Those are boot order in the southbridge area, meaning it chooses what to use first. and you'd want it to use the gfx card first. Since im not looking at the actual bios itself I'm not too sure if it is talking about the actualy pci slot and not the pci-e slot.

Sure, and try GFXO > first, because that is the PCI-e. with that enabled it should work.

Waiting for video to upload. And sorry but what do you mean by that gfxo>first? Try the third option you mean?

Got it! Wow that took a while and a lot of trouble shooting but I finally got it! When I first got my motherboard I checked for updates to the bios and o flashed the latest one. Now since I had gotten this system recently, I never once thought to check if there was anymore updates but I was just thinking and figured what the hell, might as well check and sure enough there was an update released this month! For a 7870 2gb vga problem. Mines a 7850 2gb.flashed that baby, booted up and it works! Thanks a lot everyone who offered input, I'm off to play some tomb raider!
