I m having problem with my HP pavilion (Windows 7.

so, if i keep all RAM sticks in (there are 4 sticks), the computer wont turn on. The monitor will say "No signal"
but when i took 3 sticks off the computer will work just fine for acouple of days, then slowing down till wont boot.

and if i switched the stick it will work again for a couple of days and goes bad all over again.

No beeping sounds, the fan works fine.

any suggestion'd be greatly appreciated.

it works only when 1 stick is installed. it's 1 week out of warranty.(

I'd sure fight to have it fixed under warranty if the issue started more than a week ago. On the other hand, why did you try to fix it yourself? Why not open a support call as soon as you ran into the issue? I can't tell for sure, but your motherboard probably is going bad.

so, it was out of warranty and they wont do any thing to help.

i'm still trying to fix it myself.

so, what i did was reformatting the pc to the factory state. and when it booted up it would type itself uncontrollably. i know the keyboard has no issue coz i tried it with other pc. and when i unpluged the keyboard and replugged in , the uncontrolled typing would stop, and working fine now. it seems like when i unplugged something (rams, usb, clock battery) it will fix the problems for a couple days.

a friend of mine suggested that it may be the power supply. he told me to take it out and blow it with a hair dryer?????
what do you think??
any other suggestions.

You can use a hair dryer only if it can blow cool air. You should use a vacuum cleaner to suck dirst out of it even before you try with the hair dryer. Using a can of compressed air would also work.

I doubt that cleaning the PSU will solve the issue, but it's free. Replacing it might be a better solution, but it could also be the motherboard, etc.
