let's start with the basics information

Mobo = Asus M5A78L-M LX3 (Legacy Bio's)
CPU =AMD FX-6100 - FX-Series Zambezi 6-Core 3.3 GHz Socket AM3+ 95W Desktop Processor
PSU = CORSAIR CX-M Series CX650M 650W 80 PLUS BRONZE Haswell Ready ATX12V & EPS12V Semi-Modular Power Supply CP-9020103-NA
GPU= (Currently) Refurbished: MSI GeForce GT 630 4GB DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 Video Card N630GT-MD4GD3-R .

Ok now the issue, so I had a Refurbished: GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 Low Profile Video Card GV-N105TOC-4GL in it that ran fine from 2018 up to last month I had been on the computer for 7hr that day before shutting it down and going where I needed to go when I came back and went to turn the computer on it refused to boot up at all fans kicked on lights came on, but no booting sounds from the computer or any sorta responds in the display.

I swapped the Gigabyte 1050ti with the Gt 630 to confirm whether the GIGABYTE 1050ti was toast or not and every time the 1050ti went in it refused to boot up so I got a new MSI Gaming GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 card to replace the Gigabyte 1050ti when I installed it and powered the pc on it would not boot up, lights and fans came on, but that was it, any ideas why this is happening? (I read something about Legacy Bio's could have something do with it as alot of the newer stuff uses UEFI bio's on the mobo )

Update: I noticed with the new gpu in and I powered on the pc the cpu fan would stop for about a second and the lights on the gpu would do the same.

The only issue I can think of is maybe you need to look into replacing more than the GPU. The PSU, the motherboard, or even the CPU and Ram could be toast and it could affect your GPU since all 3 of those are required for the pc to run correctly. Try to look for bent pins in the CPU, make sure your Motherboard and RAM aren't ready to be replaced and if this continues I'd reccomend taking it into a professional to tear it down and look at it

I'm going to chalk this up to the motherboard being too old to support the card. Around the GeForce 900 series, NVIDIA shipped cards with UEFI compatible vBIOSes. While these are supposed to work with legacy BIOS boards, sometimes it doesn't actually work.

There's no workaround for this if this is the case.

I would try to clear your CMOS to see if that helps with the new MSI card (page 1-17 of the motherboard manual). It could be a BIOS issue or something else.

In looking at your old card, it didn't require a PCIe cable be connected to it but the MSI GTX 1050 Ti looks to require a 6 pin PCIe cable from your PSU to be connected. Did you connect that cable to the GPU, otherwise the GPU won't work without it?

yes. the funny thing is the gigabyte 1050ti I had in it last month worked from 2018 when I bought till last month when It decided to do the same thing the new card did I thought the gigabyte 1050ti went bad now im wonder if there was some software update I wasn't aware of that caused it to cut out though that one when playing some games would blick from no display to display

If I were you I would try temporarily hooking up another power supply to eliminate that psu is having trouble powering that card. I just had a similar issue with a Thermaltake smart 650 watt. How old is your CX650M ?? They had issues with the CX PSU's a few years back and fixed them, the green label CX's had the issues, the silver CX's were the improved ones!

2016 is when it was purchased

Looks like the motherboard is a 10 year old design, and the latest firmware is 5 years old. Maybe you should look for a replacement to a newer design. It might not be the cause of your current problem, but I think it is holding you back.

You could try this:

That's what I'm thinking took the msi 1050ti to a shop today to make sure it wasn't faulty, it's not. The guy said he hooked it up to his rig which is using a am4 motherboard and it booted up fine so that leave the psu or I need to look into upgrade cpu,mobo,and ram
