Like the title says. I installed a bandwith monitor because Comcast had a brilliant business plan to limit my 'unlimited' internet. But Comcast is not the problem. The problem is, almost immediately after I installed the broadband monitor my internet died. I can't connect wired or wirelessly on the PC I tried to install the monitor on. The connection was working fine just moments before. I can still connect to the wifi on all other devices, so the router/modem is working fine.

I installed 'NetWorx' first, but didn't like it so I uninstalled it,then installed 'FreeMeter', which was what seemed to kill my network connection.

I don't have a backup/restore before the installation because when updating to Win10, Microsoft decided that this shouldn't be automatic anymore, and erase all of the previous ones.

Any help would be much appreciated.

can you uninstall freemeter also? does that allow you to connect to your router? A poorly designed meter app can easily be the cause of your connectivity issues.

and just to be thorough, did you uninstall NetWorx via the Uninstall Programs applet or did you just delete the files/directory in Explorer?

Uninstalled Networx via Uninstall Programs. Freemeter was a standalone and just launched without an install.
