Hello i'm new here at Tom's so i'm hoping that you guys can help me.
Recently i built a pc for my sisters with this specs:
Pentium 4 530 3.0ghz
Gigabyte GA G41mt-s2p board
2 gb kingston ram
600 watt psu
LG dvd drive sata
seagate 500 gb 7200rpm hard drive
inno3d 9400 gt 1gb
when I first put them together and turn on the switch there was no post at all
so i removed the GPU and connect my monitor to the onboard display and still no post then i tried to disassemble and assemble it again.
This time it posted but without using the GPU
Put the gpu back and again it wont boot or even post at all(orange light on monitor means no signal) but all my fans are working and beeps are single.
removed the gpu again and then put it back and magically it boots and post up to the os loading and used it for about several hours and after i turn it off and on again same problem no post and doesnt boot.
i decided to remove it all and put it back together again now it boots but before it boots up it will take me 10 seconds befor my monitor light becomes green. Its like that everytime until now.
my primary guess was the PSU is not enough
beacuse its generic but for that specs i think its too much right?
by the way that 600w psu is plugged on a 500w avr so will that be also the reason?
or a defective mobo i guess. Please help me
Sorry for the long post hope to be helped by all the expert here at Tom's.
