pci connector problem

i was using forsa nvidia 550ti with cooler master thunder 500w psu.now i have placed an order for this card-
MSI NVIDIA GTX 970 4GD5T OC 4 GB. it says on specifications that it needs 2 6pin pci connectors.Mys psu has 1 pci 6+2 connector. i dont understand do i have to get a new psu or is there anyway to go around this? sorry if i sound silly.

If that's a non modular PSU and there is only one connector on there then yes you need to buy a new PSU.

Since dual 6pin is the same 150W as a single 8pin, you could use something like this:
