Title says it all. Looking to see if there is something (adaptor) that allows normal-sized PCI-e cards to be connected to a PCI-e Mini port. If you can answer yes, please post a link, and thank you.
Something similar to that yes. I also found this link: http://www.hwtools.net/adapter/pe4h.html
Just wondering if this adaptor would reduce performance significantly, bottlenecking because it's connecting to a mini port.. If it would only reduce performance by maybe 25% that'd be exactly what I need.
I think your performance reduction would come from the usb interface both those use to connect to a notebook. Its not like you'll be able to run a GPU or something like that.
there's a full size and half size mini-pcie card versions leading to a full pcie x1 card slot.
i've emailed them directly about it and it provide x1 lane bandwidth. i was going to use it to connect a pcie sound card to a mini-itx motherboard (asus p8z77-i deluxe) and they informed me that i wouldn't experience any signal degradation. looks legit to me. sorry about being a couple months late to the party, just found this thread.
